An association brought together by the love of auteur documentary films
The Döc Chez l'HAbitant Association is a non-profit organization that brings together enthusiasts of auteur documentary films. Being a member means participating in screenings of documentary films, as part of an annual festival or monthly meetings. You can also create your own festival with the support of the association and thus become a Döckeur!
The Challenge
Create a website that facilitates the understanding of visitors about the actions of the association, creates its universe and brand, and develops its site in a eco-responsible manner for a very limited budget.
💰 Small budget & Max project
As a non-profit organization, raising funds is quite complicated, which is why I decided to make a gesture and lower my prices so that ADCHA can benefit from my services.
😕 Misunderstanding of the actions of the association
It is true that it is not common to have an association that allows for gathering to view auteur documentary films, so the visitor needed to understand the actions of the association and its organization.
🆕 A new look for a new target
The association aims to reach a new target audience: adolescents/young adults; to do this, it is necessary to start by establishing an artistic direction for the association as well as a kind of mascot that could allow the association to stand out.
The solution
A personalized visual identity and optimized design
I designed a strong and memorable visual identity for your association. Green, a symbol of nature and serenity, is at the heart of this graphic charter. This color perfectly evokes the values of your project. Additionally, I optimized the user experience to make your site more intuitive and easy to navigate. This new visual identity will strengthen your brand image and help you reach a broader audience.
Visual Identity
OpenPeeps, a safe bet for successful communication
The OpenPeeps characters have proven themselves in the field of communication; I chose to use them to save time in choosing and searching for copyright-free images. Moreover, they provide a charming and friendly aspect.
Web Design
Make information accessible through clear and simple design
The user needed to quickly and easily understand the actions of the association. To achieve this, the information received by the user had to be simplified initially and then distributed evenly across the site.
UX Research
State of the existing and understanding issues
The association's website was suffering from a major UX Design issue: visitors were unable to find the information they were looking for and did not clearly understand the added value of the association. The redesign aimed to simplify the user experience, enhance the clarity of the information, and optimize navigation in order to convert a greater number of visitors into members.
Web Development
Webflow & Eco-design
I decided to go with Webflow to minimize site maintenance costs (no-cost hosting, development less complex than on WordPress, a wealth of online tutorials…). I started with a blank document to acclimate myself to Webflow, thus inaugurating my first experience with this CMS!
